Lowell Girls Soccer Beats Illiana 3-2 to Advance in Sectionals! Lowell girls soccer was victorious Tuesday night, defeating Illiana 3-2 in the first round of Sectionals. The Red Devils struck first when Brooke Miller delivered a perfect corner kick that Kaelen Lulinski headed into the net. Lowell held a 1-0 lead going into halftime. Early in the second half, Illiana tied the game 1-1, but Lowell didn’t back down. Lulinski answered with her second goal of the night, taking the ball from midfield and dribbling past defenders before finding the back of the net. The Red Devils added a third goal when Macy Grskovich followed up a shot that the goalkeeper couldn’t control, putting it away for a 3-1 lead. lliana added one late, but Lowell’s defense and goalkeeper Kortney Wilczewski held strong, with Wilczewski tallying 15 saves in a standout performance.
