Lowell Boys' Soccer found their 13th win of the season in Boone Grove Monday night, with two goals from senior Josh Hejnowski (assists from Parker Cochran and Justin Carlson). The Red Devils found their groove at the quarter mark of Monday’s game, with goals in quick succession. On a Mickey Sanders throw-in, Parker Cochran found a cross to Josh Hejnowski for a jumping tap-in over the keeper. Just five minutes later Hejnowski found another goal on an assist from Justin Carlson, tallying his 18th assist of the year. Lowell continued to weather the heavy pressure and quick passing of their opponent. Senior Keeper Josh Meadows tallied 11 saves on the night, and commanded a strong back line of defenders: James Fitzpatrick, Riley Hirjak, Trevor Redmerski, and Jude Thompson. The fullbacks covered the relentless long attacks, hoping to take advantage of the wolves speed from the wings. Boone Grove did find a find a goal off a pass in behind the back line with 2 minutes to go in the game, but it was not enough to stop the win, adding to Lowell’s record season, 13-1.
