Red Devil Boys Soccer Beat the Brickies "Red Devil Soccer beat Hobart Brickies on Monday night to set a new LHS record for the number of wins in a season (a record of 11-1). Goals from brothers Josh and Nate Hejnowski sealed the 3-0 victory." Lowell's soccer match against Hobart in conference play proved tougher than the final score line. The Brickies' fast defensive line and tough play held the scoreline at zeros over the halftime break. In the first half, A lone opportunity from Parker Cochran that barely missed the goal stood out for the Red Devils. Full Back, James Fitzpatrick, also came out of the first half after a tough tackle, putting the defensive line in a new shape for the first time this season. But Jude Thompson and George Kouimanis filled the gap and helped stabilize play. In the second half, Lowell found their footing on a goal from Nate Hejnowski off a corner kick, which proved to be the eventual game winner. Older brother Josh Hejnowski found two more unassisted goals, on a defensive steal and a Penalty Kick. Josh Meadows picked up another clean sheet in goal with 6 saves. Riley Hirjak and Trevor Redmerski led the rotating Red Devil defense at center back, denying the constant pressure of the Brickies attack. The match brings Lowell's season record to 11-1 (NCC 4-1) ahead of their last conference match on Wednesday at Andrean. It also marks the first 11 win season in school history for the Boys soccer team.
