Lowell Boys Soccer continued their win streak with another conference victory on Wednesday night. Kankakee Valley's defense held strong for 25 minutes until Cass Hejnowski scored on a free kick that deflected off the KV defense into the goal. At the half hour mark, Noah Hebble scored a "brace" in four minutes. The first assist and eventual game winner, came from a crossbar shot of Justin Carlson from outside the box - Noah cleaned up the rebound to the far post. The second goal came from one of Cass Hejnowski's many drives and ended up on the foot of Noah Hebble again. Kankakee would grab a goal back before the end of the half on a corner kick header. Lowell finished the first half in the lead, 3-1. The Red Devils' defensive team held the Kougers on their own half of the field for much of the second half: James Fitzpatrick, Riley Hirjak, Trevor Redmerski, and Mickey Sanders. Keeper Josh Meadows tallied three saves on the night. Late in the second half, Mickey Sanchez dribbled past two defenders, connecting quickly with Lucas Brady, who gained a final assist back to Sanders for the last goal of the game. The Devils have a 6-1 record (2-1 NCC) heading into tomorrow's away match-up against Illiana.
