Hazelett Receives State Championship Ring We are pleased to honor Kameron Hazelett, who received his State Champion ring, on Friday, August 22nd, celebrating his remarkable season and historic victory at the IHSAA Wrestling State Championships in February 2025. Kameron’s dominance was undeniable. He claimed titles as the NCC Conference Champion, Sectional Champion, Regional Champion, Semi-State Champion, and ultimately the 285-pound IHSAA State Champion. He finished with an incredible 41–1 record, and in doing so, became the first freshman in the 87-year history of the IHSAA Wrestling State Championships to win the heavyweight crown. Kameron was also a member of an outstanding Lowell Red Devils wrestling team that posted a 19–2 record, captured the NCC Conference Championship, finished 7th at Team State Duals, and placed 6th at the IHSAA State Tournament. Kameron was joined by his coaches, Kevin English and Wesley English, and the presentation was made by Athletic Director Patti McCormack and Principal Josh Goeringer. Congratulations to our Conference Champion, Sectional Champion, Regional Champion, Semi-State Champion, and 285-pound IHSAA State Champion… Kameron Hazelett!”
