"The Battle for the Old Wooden Racquet" is back. The "Battle of the Old Wooden Racquet," is a rivalry match between Lowell and Lake Central Boys Tennis teams. While the rivalry exists on the court, they share a common goal to raise money for Operation Charlie Bravo. OCB mission is to "To lower the suicide rate and prevent homelessness by providing therapeutic, hands-on, in-person programs for Veterans suffering from PTSD / TBI / and/or depression." Since 2019, LHS and LC has raised over $13,000 for Operation Charlie Bravo through T-Shirt sales commemorating the rivalry match. The T-shirt costs $20 Please remember that all proceeds from the t-shirt sales go to Operation Combat Bike Saver.
