Congratulations Abel Verbeek on a Great Season

Abel Verbeek fell in the opening round of the IHSAA State finals by a score of 7-2.  Though not quite the outcome he wanted, the RDP is proud of the young man and all of his accomplishments this year.  Way to go Abel!!!

Verbeek Punches Ticket to Wrestling State

Seven Red Devil wrestlers competeted in the tough East Chicago Semi-State.  Abel Verbeek finished in third place securing his place in next weekends IHSAA State Finals. Congratulations to Abel and the rest of the Red Devil Wrestlers on another fine season.

Love Picks Benedictine University

Red Devil three-sport athlete Eli Love signed his letter of intent to run track for Benedictine University next fall.  Love also competed in Cross Country and is a student Athletic Trainer for the wrestling team.  

Wrestlers Advance Out of Regionals

The wrestling team travelled to Crown Point to partake in Saturday’s Regional Championship.  Highlighted by champions Andres Moreno (132) & Bryer Stoner (220), seven young men advanced to next weeks Semi-State! 132- Andres Moreno Champ!! 145- Shawn Hollis 4th 160- Abel Verbeek 3rd 182- Richard Bisping 3rd 195- Hunter Rohweder 4th 220- Bryer Stoner Champ!!

Wrestling Places 3rd at Sectional

 The wrestling team placed third as team at today’s sectional with host Crown Point taking the title.  Nine Red Devils earned the right to wrestle next week at Regionals. Lowell Wrestlers Earn 2nd in Conference

The Red Devils placed a respectable 2nd at the NCC Invite Saturday in “The Pit.”  Placing in the top three for the Red Devils were: 120 lb. Keegan Young 3rd 132 lb. Andres Moreno 1st 138 lb. Zach Sands 1st 145 lb. Shawn Hollis 1st 152 lb. Tyler Gorman 2nd 182 lb. Richard Bisping 1st 195
