On Saturday, September 26 the boys cross-country team competed in the Highland Invitational. It is well known throughout The Region that Highland High School’s cross-country course is notoriously fast – and it did not disappoint. All totaled, 16 runners recorded personal best times on the day. Leading the way was Jackson Bakker, who finished tenth overall. Jackson ran a personal best time of 16:46, which ranks him 35th all-time in program history. He was followed by Ben Keeton, who finished in 16th. Ben also earned the distinction of being the top underclassman finisher on the day. The remaining varsity spots were filled by Lee Coleman-Lark (18:00), Seth Bakker (18:26), and Nathan Hayden (18:36).
