In their best showing of the season, the boys cross-country team earned a runner-up finish at the conference meet – after winning the title each of the five previous seasons. Leading the charge for the team was Jackson Bakker, finishing second to state title contender Lucas Guerra of Highland. Jackson ran an extremely intelligent race, and passed several runners in the last mile to seal up his second place finish. He was closely followed by Ben Keeton, who also ran a spectacular race. Ben finished sixth overall after finishing 19th in the same race just one year earlier. Lee Coleman-Lark (16th) and Jason Palicka (19th) gave strong efforts with their top twenty finishes, which also earned them an NCC honorable mention award. The team has come a long way this season.
