The journey that began on February 14th for the Boys and Girls Track Teams will be coming to a close on the sports biggest stage this weekend at the IHSAA Track and Field State Finals. Hosted by Indiana University, the men and women will take to the track at the Robert C Haugh Track and Field Complex on Friday for the boys and Saturday for the girls.
Ryan Farmer takes the 13th fastest time in the state into his 400 M Dash event with a seed time of 49.68. Gabe Sanchez and Dustin Hudak will look to tame the field in the 800 M Run. Sanchez’s time of 1:55.33 is the third fastest seed, while Hudak with a school and Valpo Regional record time of 1:52.88 is seeded second. Not to be outdone the 4×400 M Relay team of Hudak, Sanchez, Farmer and Adam Edwards with a time 3:20.81 are seeded fifth.
The Girls 4×800 M Relay Team of Annalise James, Jordyn Boyer, Megan Kaczure and Karina James will start the festivities off early by qualifying with a school record 6th seeded time of 9:33.14 on Saturday. With plenty of time for rest Karina James and Boyer will compete in the 3200 M Run later that night. James is the 17th seed while Boyer is the 23 seed.
The Boys meet is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm C.S.T on Friday and the Girls start at the same time on Saturday. Both meets can be live streamed at: https://www.ihsaatv.org/
